Elections Newfoundland and Labrador wishes to advise that all candidate nomination papers for the Windsor Lake by-election must be received by 2:00 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, August 30.

Nomination papers must be filed at Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s headquarters at 39 Hallett Crescent in St. John’s.

Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s nomination process is completely independent of the nomination process that exists within the registered political parties. In order to become an official candidate, any person seeking candidacy in the upcoming by-election must file a nomination package with Elections Newfoundland and Labrador, along with a deposit.

The nomination package is available online at www.elections.gov.nl.ca. Inquiries related to nominations should be directed to Elections Newfoundland and Labrador’s toll-free line, 1-877-729-7987.
