“This has been another successful school year for students and educators in our province. Congratulations to the students who are graduating and are entering a new, exciting phase in their lives. It has also been a productive year for the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, with new legislation to modernize the Schools Act, 1997, to ensure a safe learning environment in the province’s schools; the selection of 40 schools province-wide to participate in the Phase 1 implementation of the new Student Support Services Model; and a host of other new and ongoing initiatives designed to improve the education experience for students throughout the province. Congratulations to all of our students who have worked hard and completed this school year and thanks to all teachers and staff. I hope you and your families enjoy a safe and happy summer.”
