Derek Bennett, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will bring greetings and throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the opening ceremonies of the U14 Girls Fastpitch Eastern Canadian Softball Championship. The event will take place at Lions Park in St. John’s tomorrow (Thursday, August 23), beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The U14 Girls Fastpitch Eastern Canadian Softball Championship, taking place August 23 – 26, is hosted by the Outer Cove Minor Softball Association with all games to be played at Lion’s Park (access via RE/MAX Curling Centre, Mayor Avenue).
