The Honourable Lisa Dempster, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, will attend the send-off celebration for Special Olympics athletes at 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, July 29. The celebration is being held at Memorial University’s Bruneau Centre for Innovation and Research, 230 Elizabeth Avenue, St. John’s.

Approximately 50 Special Olympians from throughout Newfoundland and Labrador will compete at the 2018 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, being held from July 31 to August 4.
