The Provincial Government is inviting applications for the Inclusion Grants Funding Program, which helps community organizations create more accessible and inclusive facilities and events. Budget 2018 included $75,000 for these grants.

The Inclusion Grants Funding Program provides funding to eligible, non-profit, community-based organizations towards the cost of improving accessibility of their facilities such as the installation of ramps, automatic doors or visual alarms. It also provides funding to improve inclusion for events and meetings through disability-related accommodations, such as sign language interpretation or captioning.

Since the program began, the Provincial Government has helped more than 71 organizations improve accessibility and inclusion. The program will remain open until funding is expended.
