The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will announce amendments to the Labour Standards Act to introduce Family Violence Leave tomorrow (Thursday, November 8) at 12:00 p.m. The announcement will take place at the Media Centre, East Block, Confederation Building. The Minister will be joined by the Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women.

A technical briefing will be provided for media prior to the announcement at 11:30 a.m. Media planning to attend can enter through the new visitor’s entrance located at the link between the East and West Blocks of the Confederation Building.
