The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will hold the third Minister’s Roundtable on Immigration tomorrow (Wednesday, October 24) at Bally Haley Country Club, 100 Logy Bay Road, St. John’s. Minister Hawkins will address members of the roundtable at 9:15 a.m. followed by a media availability.

The roundtable brings together representatives of various sectors including the business community, labour, K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, municipalities, community organizations and service providers. To inform the ongoing efforts to increase newcomer attraction and retention, participants will discuss potential new initiatives the Provincial Government and other partners could pursue in years three through five of The Way Forward on Immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador, the province’s collaborative immigration action plan.
