The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour and Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, will attend the SHAD Open Day Exhibit at Memorial University tomorrow (Thursday, July 26) from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.. The exhibit is being held at The Landing, University Centre, 1 Arctic Avenue, St. John’s.

SHAD is an entrepreneurship program for high school students. Each year, more than 1,000 students attend a month-long STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) program at one of 16 universities across Canada. The theme of this year’s entrepreneurial activities is Helping Communities be More Resilient in the Face of Natural Disasters.
