The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will attend a Forum on Francophone Immigration tomorrow (Friday, March 2) in Toronto, Ontario.

This second meeting of federal, provincial and territorial ministers responsible for immigration will build on efforts to increase Francophone immigration outside Quebec. Ministers will share existing initiatives and explore new opportunities for collaboration on retention, settlement, integration and promotion.

Increasing Francophone immigration in collaboration with service providers and community organizations is a priority in The Way Forward on Immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador.
