The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will be available to the media at the inaugural meeting of the Minister’s Roundtable on Immigration tomorrow (Wednesday, February 7) at 2:30 p.m. at the Capital Hotel, 208 Kenmount Road, in St. John’s.

The Minister’s Roundtable on Immigration brings together representatives of various sectors including the business community, labour, K-12 education system, post-secondary institutions, municipalities, community organizations and service providers. It serves as a forum for discussion and collaboration as members combine efforts to find innovative ways to recruit and retain more newcomers and was a key commitment in The Way Forward on Immigration in Newfoundland and Labrador.
