Site Chosen for New Paradise Intermediate School

The Honourable Dale Kirby, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, announced today that the new Paradise Intermediate will be built just off McNamara Drive, in Paradise. Minister Kirby was joined by Tony Stack, CEO/Director of Education with the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District on behalf of Board Chair Goronwry Price, Mayor Dan Bobbett and councillors of the Town of Paradise for the official unveiling.

Paradise Intermediate will accommodate children attending Grades Five to Eight. It will have all of the resources required of an intermediate school with teaching spaces to ensure students meet their full potential, including areas for physical activity, arts and music.

BudgBudget 2017 announced $2 million to commence planning and design of the new school. Paradise Intermediate is expected to open during the 2020-21 fiscal year.
