Highway Traffic Act Charges Laid Against Busing Company and Official Inspection Station
A busing company and an Official Inspection Station have been charged with a total of 116 violations of the Official Inspection Station Regulations under the Highway Traffic Act after an investigation was conducted by the Highway Enforcement Branch of Service NL.
Kelloway Investments Limited, located in St. John’s, has been charged with 58 counts of displaying a vehicle inspection certificate that was issued without a proper inspection being carried out, contrary to Section 19.(6)(b) of the regulations.
J.J. Services, as operator of an Official Inspection Station located in St. John’s, has been charged with 58 counts of issuing a vehicle inspection certificate without a proper inspection being carried out, contrary to Section 11.(1) of the regulations.
The first appearance related to these charges is scheduled for March 1, 2017, at Provincial Court in St. John’s.
