Call for Applications for Municipal Capital Works Funding Programs

The Provincial Government is inviting applications for the 2018-19 capital works funding programs. Applications are encouraged from municipalities, local service districts, engineering consultants, regional service boards and Inuit community governments and must be received by the deadline of November 30, 2017.

Information can be found online at: www.mae.gov.nl.ca/capital_works/proposed.html

Applications will be used for the provincial Municipal Capital Works Program, and the Small Communities Fund of the New Building Canada Fund as well as potentially other federal funding programs.

On March 13, 2017, the Provincial Government made the first call for applications under its new three-year $100 million municipal infrastructure program. In addition to the funding provided under this program, the Provincial Government continues to leverage federal funding to maximize infrastructure investment in this province by providing $35 million over the next two years to allow an investment of $60 million through the Small Communities Fund.

Quote
“Through our government’s vision for The Way Forward, we are leveraging federal funding, enhancing regionalization of services, and advancing important infrastructure projects. In making this call for applications, we are continuing to build better communities and ensure better, more sustainable services for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians.”
