Funding Announced for Fire Truck in Bunyan’s Cove

The Honourable Eddie Joyce, Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment, was joined by Neil King, MHA for Bonavista, to announce funding for a new fire truck for the Bunyan’s Cove Fire Department.

The Provincial Government is investing approximately $229,000 for a new tanker truck that has a 1,500 gallon poly water tank and a 1,500 gallon aluminum folding frame portable water tank.

“Our government is committed to providing the quality firefighting equipment and facilities to fire departments throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. This new tanker truck will benefit residents and their families in the community of Bunyan’s Cove, and it assist volunteer firefighters to respond quickly in an emergency.”
