Public Advisory: Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Officers Seeking Assistance

The Department of Fisheries and Land Resources, Fish and Wildlife Enforcement, is seeking the public’s assistance relating to an incident where two moose are alleged to have been illegally killed on or about October 14, 2017, near the Dunrovin Motel in Lethbridge.

On October 14, officers received information from a concerned member of the public reporting that two moose were lying in a field near the motel. Upon arriving at the location, officers determined that both animals, an adult female and calf, had been shot.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing. Officers are asking anyone who has any information, or who may have seen suspicious behaviour in that area on or about October 14, 2017, to contact the Fish and Wildlife Enforcement Clarenville Detachment located at 26 Manitoba Drive at 709-466-4084.
