Provincial Government Invites Applications for 2017 Grants to Youth Organizations

The Provincial Government announced today that applications are being accepted for 2017 Grants to Youth Organizations.

Grants to Youth Organizations is an application-driven program that provides project funding to community-based youth or youth-serving organizations in the province. Successful applications will be those that engage youth in activities that encourage skill, knowledge, and leadership development so that they may positively contribute to their community, region or province, enhance partnerships and collaboration and fill a gap in services.

Successful applicants can receive up to $50,000 in project funding from the total $451,500 that is available this year.

Application forms for Grants to Youth Organizations are available at nlyouth.ca/ProgramsServices/GTYO.html External Link Icon, and can be submitted until the deadline date of July 21, 2017. Funding decisions will be made after all applications have been received and assessed.

Quote
“Young people who participate in programs funded through Grants to Youth make positive contributions to their communities, and to the province. Just as importantly, they learn important personal skills that will serve them in their lives as they continue on to be ambassadors for Newfoundland and Labrador. I encourage local organizations to submit an application and take advantage of the Grants to Youth Organizations program to the benefit of our young residents.”
Honourable Dwight Ball
Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador
