Provincial Government Releases 2017 High School Transcripts

High school transcripts including final marks have been mailed to students throughout the province. Provincial results for public exam courses can be viewed in the backgrounder below.

Final grades are consistent with recent years, with a slight increase in scores in mathematics. The graduation rate of 93.3 per cent is the highest rate in recent history in Newfoundland and Labrador for eligible July graduates. This graduation rate will increase once August and November supplementary exams have been completed.

Students who have had their June exams deferred or who wish to improve their scores can write supplementary exams in early August. For more information on supplementary exams, including registration and exam schedule, please visit www.ed.gov.nl.ca/edu/k12/evaluation/exams.html. The deadline for registration is August 1, 2017.

Quote
“Congratulations to all students on their hard work and academic achievements. This has been another successful year for our high school students. Approximately 74 per cent of our graduating students achieved honours or academic diplomas, an increase of almost two percentage points from last year. Your hard work and commitment has paid off and I wish you all the best as you embark on new adventures.”
