Media Advisory: Minister Kirby and Minister Byrne to Attend CMEC Meetings

The Honourable Dale Kirby, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, and the Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will be in Charlottetown, PEI, July 19-20, for the 106th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Education, Canada (CMEC). This year marks the 50th anniversary of CMEC.

Founded in 1967, CMEC is the collective voice of Canada’s ministers of education. It provides leadership in education at the pan-Canadian and international levels and contributes to the exercise of the exclusive jurisdiction of provinces and territories over education.
