Media Advisory: Minister Kirby to Attend Opening Ceremony for Memorial High School Hockey Tournament

The Honourable Dale Kirby, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, will attend the opening ceremony for the Royal Newfoundland Regiment Memorial High School Hockey Tournament tomorrow (Friday, April 7).

The event is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. at the Double Ice Complex in Paradise, 68 McNamara Drive.

More than 350 high school students and coaches from 13 schools throughout the province will participate in the tournament, which commemorates the bravery and sacrifices of Royal Newfoundland Regiment soldiers during World War I.
