A New Vision for Downtown Development in Stephenville
The Governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada are investing $67,500 to help the Downtown Stephenville Business Improvement Association Corporation create an updated vision for downtown development in Stephenville.
The Honourable Christopher Mitchelmore, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, today announced $18,750 in provincial funding, and Gudie Hutchings, Member of Parliament for Long Range Mountains, on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, announced $48,750 through the Business Development Program.
The Downtown Stephenville Business Improvement Association Corporation will hire a consultant to help create a community vision for downtown development in Stephenville. The project will include a detailed consultation with the community that will inform a comprehensive design with recommendations for a phased development approach.
