Provincial Government Establishes Regional Trade Network

As part of small business week, the Provincial Government today announced the establishment of a Regional Trade Network for Newfoundland and Labrador. Developed through the Department of Tourism, Culture, Industry and Innovation, this provincial initiative will be co-led by industry, and will see trade and export development stakeholders collaborate to align, coordinate and improve support for firms pursuing international business.

By offering a more coordinated approach to providing international business development services, a provincial Regional Trade Network will assist in the retention and growth of Newfoundland and Labrador companies. The department is committed to working with industry associations, partners, and clients on long-term, focused approaches; and will use internationalization to foster innovation and support the development of high growth firms.

The Regional Trade Network will meet quarterly to share information, identify gaps and opportunities, and to improve collaboration among resource and support providers.
