Media Advisory: Minister Hawkins to Open Symposium on Impacts of Population Aging and Immigration

The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will open a symposium on the impacts of population aging and immigration on the province’s labour market, economy, and service delivery tomorrow (Wednesday, December 6) at 9:00 a.m. at Memorial University’s R. Gushue Hall in St. John’s.

The symposium is being held in partnership with Memorial University’s Harris Centre and the Atlantic Research Group on Economics, Immigration, Aging and Diversity. It brings together key stakeholders to discuss innovative solutions for Newfoundland and Labrador’s demographic challenges.
