Tender Awarded for CNA Centre for Energy and Thermal Systems Renovation

A tender valued at just over $1 million has been awarded to Brook Construction Inc. for renovations associated with the College of the North Atlantic’s new Centre for Energy and Thermal Systems in Corner Brook.

The centre will include mechanical, refrigeration, power distribution, transmission, and computer labs and related spaces.

This project is part of a joint federal-provincial investment of $4.3 million in the college’s Corner Brook campus, which includes a federal contribution of more than $2.1 million through the Post-Secondary Institution Strategic Investment Fund.

The Centre for Energy and Thermal Systems will enhance current programming and provide new opportunities in engineering technology and the industrial trades. It will help meet a key commitment in The Way Forward to modernize College of the North Atlantic, enhancing the ability of its campuses to serve as local and regional economic generators and community hubs.
