Public Advisory: Highway Access Permits to be Issued by Service NL Effective January 1

The public are advised that effective January 1, 2017, applications for highway access permits, which are reviewed by the Department of Transportation and Works, will be available and issued through Service NL.

Applications for permits will be available at all Service NL regional offices. Contact information for the offices can be found at www.servicenl.gov.nl.ca/department/contact.html#locations. Applications can also be found online at: www.servicenl.gov.nl.ca/forms/index.html#land

The fee for a residential permit is $50 and a commercial permit is $500. Payment is required only when the permit is issued.

Highway access permits are required to construct access to a highway that is classified as a provincial road.
