Public Advisory: Temporary Service Change Planned for Bell Island Ferry

Temporary repair work will begin on the Bell Island ferry ramp tomorrow (Wednesday, March 9), following the last scheduled vehicular traffic for the day.

As a result, the MV Flanders will begin providing passenger service only on Thursday, March 10. The repair work is expected to be completed by Monday, March 14. Updates on the timeline for completion will be provided as work progresses.

During the repair period, passengers should pay extra attention to signage and follow all instructions provided by the crew when boarding and disembarking the vessel.

Discussions have been ongoing with the ferry users committee in preparations for the repair work, to allow residents to plan ahead to minimize disruptions.

The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience this repair process may cause.
