Update Provided on Bell Island Ferry Service

The Department of Transportation and Works advises users of the Bell Island ferry service that repairs to the MV Flanders are progressing well and the vessel is expected to return to service tomorrow morning (Friday, January 22).

Testing of the repair work will occur tonight and pending results, an update on potential crossing times will be provided tomorrow morning.

In the interim, helicopter service will continue until the MV Flanders enters service as weather and wind conditions permit.
