Media Advisory: Minister Bennett to Speak at Coalition Against Violence -
Avalon East Workshop on Violence Prevention

The Honourable Cathy Bennett, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will speak at a workshop on Monday, February 29, about violence prevention. The workshop is organized by the Coalition Against Violence - Avalon East and is entitled One Idea NL: Innovative and Collaborative Approaches to Violence Prevention in Newfoundland and Labrador. The event takes place at the Capital Hotel, Kenmount Road, St. John's, at 9:00 a.m.

February is Violence Prevention Month and it is a time to educate and promote awareness on all forms of violence. For more information on supports available to prevent violence, please visit www.gov.nl.ca/vpi.
