Labour Relations Agency Launches New Searchable Database

In an effort to increase public accessibility to information, the Labour Relations Agency has launched a searchable online database of arbitration awards and collective agreements.

The agency works with employees and employers to support and foster positive employment relations throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. As part of this work, the agency is making important records more accessible. We are pleased to make available more than 60 years of arbitration awards, and the most current depository of collective agreements online in a searchable form.
- The Honourable Perry Trimper, Minister Responsible for Labour Relations Agency

The database contains approximately 4,000 arbitrations dating back to the 1950s and approximately 400 collective agreements which are replaced as re-negotiated.

Openness and transparency are key commitments of this government. Making more information accessible to the public through this online searchable database is in keeping with these commitments and best practices of open government.
- The Honourable Siobhan Coady, Minister Responsible for the Office of Public Engagement

The Labour Relations Agency searchable databases can be found at www.gov.nl.ca/lra/infosys.html and on the Open Government website: open.gov.nl.ca/information/topic.html.
