Minister Invites Applications for Accessible Vehicle Funding Program
The Provincial Government is inviting applications for the Accessible Vehicle Funding Program, which helps individuals with disabilities have access to transportation.
“This type of investment makes a real difference for people with disabilities and their families. Accessible transportation is not available in many areas of the province. For this reason, I am proud to continue to offer this program that removes barriers and promotes participation and inclusion.”

The Accessible Vehicle Funding Program provides up to $25,000 to eligible individuals and families towards the cost of purchasing and/or installing accessibility features for a personal vehicle. Partial grants can also be applied toward the cost of a new vehicle manufactured with accessibility features incorporated in its design.
“Since the inception of the Accessible Vehicle Funding Program, the Provincial Government has helped more than 69 people purchase or retrofit vehicles for accessibility. Unlike previous years, the program will remain open and the department will maintain a wait list of applicants.”
