Media Advisory: Minister Byrne to Attend Forum of Labour Market Ministers Meeting

The Honourable Gerry Byrne, Minister of Advanced Education, Skills and Labour, will meet with the Forum of Labour Market Ministers tomorrow (Friday, October 14) at the Hotel Le Concorde, 1225 Cours du Général de Montcalm, Quebec City, Quebec.

Minister Byrne will be participating in a provincial, territorial and federal meeting co-chaired by Minister François Blais, Quebec Minister of Employment and Social Solidarity, the Honourable MaryAnn Mihychuk, federal Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, federal Minister of Families, Children and Social Development.

Discussion items will include Labour Market Transfer Agreements, Employment Insurance, Foreign Qualification Recognition, Labour Market Information Council, and Apprenticeship.
