Public Advisory: Fogo Island - Change Islands - Farewell Ferry Service Update

The MV Veteran is currently experiencing a mechanical issue with one of its bow thrusters. As a result, and once weather conditions permit, the MV Norcon Galatea will sail to the area to provide assistance. The MV Norcon Galatea is currently located in the nearby Town of Carmanville.

Residents and the travelling public are advised to visit the Provincial Government's Marine Services Status Board at www.tw.gov.nl.ca/ferryservices/index.stm for updates. Individuals may also call the following telephone numbers for updated recorded information:

• Local calls from Fogo Island - 709-627-3492
• Local call from Change Islands or calls from outside the local service area - 1-855-621-3150

Repairs to the MV Veteran will be made as soon as possible. The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience this disruption to service may cause.
