Media Advisory: MV Veteran Arrives in Fogo Island-Change Islands
The Department of Transportation and Works advises that the MV Veteran has arrived in Fogo Island-Change Islands, having departed St. John's harbour at approximately 6:15 p.m. yesterday evening.
The vessel is expected to enter service on Saturday, December 19.
The Honourable Al Hawkins, Minister of Transportation and Works, will hold a welcoming ceremony on board the vessel as she sails to Fogo Island and Change Islands on Monday, December 21. Minister Hawkins will be joined by Derrick Bragg, MHA for Fogo Island - Cape Freels, along with town officials and ferry committee members of Fogo Island and Change Islands. The ceremony will take place on board the MV Veteran during the sailings to Fogo Island and Change Islands. Media are advised to arrive at Farewell by 8:45 a.m. for a 9:00 a.m. departure.
