Public Advisory: Update Provided on Veterans Memorial Bridge in Labrador

The Department of Transportation and Works advises that it is anticipated Veterans Memorial Bridge will reopen to full traffic by the end of day today. The bridge, which crosses the Churchill River, was restricted to light vehicle traffic (under five tons) late yesterday afternoon to allow crews to conduct an inspection and repair and replace some bolts.

The department apologizes to motorists for any inconvenience and thanks the traveling public for their patience while this work is ongoing.
