Public Advisory: Second Cleanup and Closure of Outer Ring Road Taking Place June 28
The Department of Transportation and Works is advising motorists that the Outer Ring Road between Portugal Cove Road and Thorburn Road will be closed this Sunday, June 28, from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The closure is required to enable clean-up efforts.
On Sunday, as a result of the closure, eastbound traffic on the Outer Ring Road will exit at Thorburn Road and westbound traffic on the Outer Ring Road will exit at Portugal Cove Road. Team Gushue Highway will be accessible between Kenmount Road and Goldstone Street only. The following entrances will be closed:
- Portugal Cove Road westbound
- Allandale Road (both directions)
- Team Gushue Highway (both directions)
- Thorburn Road eastbound
Electronic signs have been placed along the Outer Ring Road to provide advance notice of the road closure, and barricades will be erected Sunday morning.
The Department of Transportation and Works apologizes for any inconvenience to motorists and appreciates their patience and cooperation during these clean-up efforts.
