Public Advisory: Offices Re-opening in Sir Richards Squires Building, Corner Brook

The Department of Transportation and Works advises residents of Corner Brook and surrounding areas that repair work following a break in the main water line is progressing well and some offices on the ground floor of the Sir Richard Squires Building have reopened today (Friday, March 20). Elevators are now operational throughout the building.

The ground floor offices now accessible to the public are Crown Lands (Municipal and Intergovernmental Affairs) and Residential Services, Teleservices and Consumer Affairs (Service NL). Individuals visiting these offices can enter through the entrances off the lower parking lot.

As announced previously, the Government Service Centre and Motor Registration offices have been temporarily relocated to the third floor of the Sir Richard Squires Building, and are offering limited service. Individuals can also access services online at: www.servicenl.gov.nl.ca/online_services/online_services.html, by email at mrdmail@gov.nl.ca, or by calling 1-877-636-6867.

Vital Statistics and Adult Probation remain closed. Alternate arrangements have been made and individuals requiring services should contact these offices directly.

Updates will continue to be provided as work to repair the water damage continues.
