Public Advisory: Contingency Service in Place for St. Brendan's

Last night (Wednesday, January 21), the MV Grace Sparkes hit a submerged rock approximately 200 metres outside of Burnside resulting in some damage to the hull. The ferry was able to continue service to Burnside and is currently out of service. It is expected that repairs will take at least one week.

Helicopter service is in place for this afternoon (Thursday, January 22) for residents looking to travel to and from St. Brendan's. The MV Norcon Galatea is scheduled to sail to St. Brendan's this afternoon and will provide interim service until the MV Grace Sparkes returns to service.

For more information on the helicopter service, passengers are advised to call 1-888-638-5454.
