Minister Announces 2015 NLHC Scholarship Recipients
Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation (NLHC) has awarded its 2015 Scholarship awards to tenants currently pursuing post-secondary studies. Each scholarship is valued at $1,000.
�The Provincial Government, through Newfoundland and Labrador Housing Corporation, is proud to award these scholarships to assist students in meeting the financial obligations that accompany a post-secondary education. I congratulate the scholarship recipients and commend all the applicants for their commitment to obtaining a higher education. I wish them all the best in their future studies.�

Youth scholarships are awarded based on the results of the Department of Education's scholarship score, which is derived from a student�s performance on public exams. Adult scholarships are awarded based on reviews that assess need, initiative, and community involvement. The following are the 2015 NLHC Scholarship recipients:
Youth scholarship recipients are:
- Kellie Beck, St. Lawrence, is a graduate of St. Lawrence Academy attending College of the North Atlantic;
- Ashley Drover, Sunnyside, is a graduate of Tricentia Academy attending College of the North Atlantic;
- Katelyn Leggo, St. John�s, is a graduate of Booth Memorial High attending Memorial University;
- Natalie Kavanagh, St. John�s, is a graduate of Holy Heart attending Memorial University.
- Craig Cadwell, St. John�s, is a graduate of Booth Memorial High attending Memorial University;
- Victoria Hynes, Grand Falls-Windsor, is a graduate of Exploits Valley High attending the Centre for Nursing Studies;
- Shawn Williams, Sandringham, is a graduate of Holy Cross attending College of the North Atlantic; and
- Abigail Warren, Corner Brook, is a graduate of Corner Brook Regional High attending Memorial University.
Adult scholarship recipients are:
- Abida Dogar, St. John�s, is currently attending the Centre for Nursing Studies;
- Kristen Milley, Grand Falls-Windsor, is currently attending Memorial University; and Robin-Ann Robinson, Corner Brook, is currently attending College of the North Atlantic.
