Volleyball Season Begins with VolleyWest in Corner Brook

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association notes that the season�s first volleyball tournament, entitled VolleyWest, will be held in Corner Brook on Friday, October 23, and Saturday, October 24, with 40 teams competing.

Competitors will include junior high male and female as well as senior high male and Female divisions.

�The volleyball community in Corner Brook is alive and strong and the love of the sport is infectious. The inclusive and excited atmosphere is no doubt a driving force behind the success of this event. It�s the perfect way to lead off the volleyball competition season.�

Seven volleyball courts will be used during the tournament, with two courts located at Corner Brook Regional High School, two at the new Corner Brook Intermediate School, and three at the Pepsi Centre Annex.
