Media Advisory: Minister to Announce New Designations Under Provincial Historic Commemorations Program
The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, will announce new designations under the Provincial Historic Commemorations Program today (Wednesday, October 14). The ceremony will be held at 11:30 a.m. at The Rooms, St. John's.
The Provincial Historic Commemorations Program is a citizen-driven program of the Provincial Government that allows for the commemoration of aspects of history and culture that are of provincial significance. The Provincial Historic Commemorations Board considers nominations twice annually.
