Media Advisory: Minister to Address Universal Design Workshop

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, will make opening remarks at a workshop, Universal Design: Building is for Everyone, hosted by the Independent Living Resource Centre, tomorrow (Thursday, September 10) at Bally Haly Country Club, 100 Logy Bay Road. The event begins at 8:00 a.m.

Universal Design is the design of products and environments that are usable by all people, including people with any type of disability.

Betty Dion, owner of Betty Dion Enterprises Ltd. (BDEL), will be the event’s keynote speaker. BDEL is the recognized international accessibility expert in analysis of international building codes and the development of standards.
