Media Advisory: Minister Jackman Attends Easter Seals Homecoming for Liam Hickey

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development and Minister Responsible for Persons With Disabilities, will be at the Easter Seals House this morning to congratulate Liam Hickey in a homecoming celebration after his Canadian Wheelchair Basketball team’s silver medal success at the recent Parapan Am Games in Toronto. The event will begin at the Easter Seals House, 206 Mount Scio Road, at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Hickey and the Canadian Men's Wheelchair Basketball team’s 2015 Parapan Am success also earned them a spot at the 2016 Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.

There will be an opportunity for a meet and greet, and Mr. Hickey will also participate in a wheelchair basketball demo with participants in Easter Seals Daycamp.
