Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Caregiver Day Event

The Honourable Clyde Jackman, Minister of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development, will join representatives of the provincial Caregivers Out of Isolation (COI-NL) program, for a luncheon event tomorrow (Tuesday, April 7), to mark National Caregiver Day in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The event features an address by Dr. Janice Keefe from the Nova Scotia Centre on Aging, Mount Saint Vincent University. Dr. Keefe will speak to a federal report from the Employer Panel for Caregivers titled When Work and Caregiving Collide: How Employers Can Support Their Employees Who Are Caregivers.

The event begins at 12:00 noon, at the Comfort Inn (Airport) in St. John�s.
