Public Advisory: Extension Granted for Vehicle Renewals

Service NL advises that, due to technical difficulties, there have been delays in issuing some vehicle renewal notices for registrations that expire in May of 2015.

As a result, the Registrar of Motor Vehicles has approved an extension for vehicle registrations that expire in May for an additional 30 days, to June 30, 2015. Law enforcement agencies have been notified accordingly.

It is important to note that individuals can renew their vehicle registrations without having received a notice. Service NL reminds vehicle owners that they can renew their vehicle permits online, or at any motor registration division office. Online renewals can be completed at https://www.eservices.gov.nl.ca/HostPub/MRDWeb/default.jsp.

Renewals paid after June 30, 2015, will be subject to the new rates established through Budget 2015.
