Media Advisory: Attorney General to Attend Beaumont Hamel Commemoration

The Honourable Felix Collins, Attorney General, will attend the Beaumont Hamel 99th commemoration ceremony in Ottawa tomorrow (Wednesday, July 1). The event begins at 8:30 a.m. EST at the National War Memorial, Elgin Street. Minister Collins will be laying a wreath on behalf of the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador.

This annual commemoration is held to remember and pay tribute to the courageous members of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment who fought and died at Beaumont Hamel in France in 1916 during the First World War.
