Media Advisory: Minister to Attend National Roundtable
on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls
The Honourable Judy Manning, Minister of Justice and Public Safety and Attorney General, and Minister Responsible for the Status of Women, will participate in the first ever National Roundtable on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls. The meeting is being held in Ottawa tomorrow (Friday, February 27).
The National Roundtable is bringing together families of missing and murdered Aboriginal women and girls, representatives from the Assembly of First Nations, the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, Native Women's Association of Canada, Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada, Métis National Council, Les Femmes Michif Otipemisiwak /Women of the Métis Nation, all provinces and territories and the Federal Government.
