"I am extremely pleased with what our government has accomplished during this session of the House of Assembly. We have taken progressive measures towards ensuring a sustainable future for the people of the province. Budget 2015 delivered a clear vision for long-term prosperity, by implementing balanced choices to further our plan for a prosperous Newfoundland and Labrador."
- The Honourable Darin King, Government House Leader and Minister of Business, Tourism, Culture and Rural Development and Minister of Justice and Public Safety.

The Provincial Government is committed to supporting important social programs, strong communities and the health and well-being of children, families and seniors through modern and effective legislation.

"This government continues to listen to the people of our province and has introduced updated legislation that reflects the current needs of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians by improving access to information and protection of privacy; and amendments to the House of Assembly Act which implements the recommendations of the Electoral District Boundaries Commission. Sustainability of the teachers' pension plan was also advanced through legislation this session, helping to ensure the financial well-being of teachers. No doubt, the legislation passed this session will serve to benefit us for years to come."
