Media Advisory: Minister to Speak at International Symposium of Singing and Song
The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will speak at the opening concert of the International Symposium on Singing and Song tonight (Thursday, October 1) at 8:00 p.m. The event will take place at Memorial University's School of Music in the D.F. Cook Recital Hall.
Organized by the Singing Network, the International Symposium of Singing and Song runs October 1-4 in St. John's. The Singing Network is the starting point for creating and building a provincial-national-international network of individuals and organizations interested in singing and song. The symposium will feature a series of voice, singing and choral events ranging from workshops, seminars, master-classes, and performances. For more information, visit www.singingnetwork.ca/ .
