Media Advisory: Minister to Officially Launch Phase II of Understanding Changes Everything Anti-Stigma Awareness Campaign

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will launch Phase II of the Provincial Government’s Understanding Changes Everything Anti-Stigma Awareness Campaign tomorrow (Wednesday, September 16), which will focus on mental illness and addictions in the workplace. The announcement will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Suncor Energy Fluvarium, Nagles Place, St. John’s.

The Understanding Changes Everything Campaign is a Provincial Government initiative that aims to raises awareness and reduces the stigma associated with mental illness and addiction. The goal of the second phase of the campaign is to encourage organizations in Newfoundland and Labrador to promote mental health in the workplace and build positive working environments that reduce stigma.
