Health Care Investments Benefiting Families and Communities

Approximately $300,000 Invested in New-Wes-Valley

A Provincial Government investment of approximately $300,000 will support the purchase of new equipment and upgrades for the Brookfield-Bonnews Health Centre in New-Wes-Valley.

New equipment will be purchased at the Brookfield-Bonnews Health Centre in the laundry and housekeeping and food services departments. New electric beds will also be purchased to enhance patient comfort in long-term care.

Work will continue at Bonnews Lodge on the replacement of the interior waterline. This work will ensure the integrity of the domestic water system and maintain patient comfort and safety at the facility.

Budget 2015 includes a total of $133.7 million to ensure access to new and modern health care facilities and equipment for Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, including $40 million for new health care equipment and $20 million for repair and renovation projects.
