Media Advisory: Minister to Attend Hope Walk Closing Event

The Honourable Steve Kent, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health and Community Services, will attend an event to mark the conclusion of the Pathways Foundation’s Hope Walk on Sunday, August 2. The event will take place at the Mount Cashel Memorial on Elizabeth Avenue in St. John’s at 4:00 p.m.

The Pathways Foundation supports the healing of survivors of abuse from religious institutions and aims to promote healing and prevent harm from reoccurring. The Hope Walk is a provincial walk that began in July to create awareness of the organization and the many mental health supports it provides. The Provincial Government provided $40,000 to support the success of the Hope Walk.
